Sítio Burle Marx
Creating a completely new visual identity for a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Applying new elements to branded materials, including a brochure, stationery, ads, site sign, and website.
Starting from scratch.
This project, created for a class in which it was the sole deliverable, started with the choice of site. We were prompted to choose from 1000+ UNESCO World Heritage sites, and I was drawn to the architect Roberto Burle Marx’s house outside of Rio de Janeiro. I’m Brazilian, and grew up going to a park designed by Marx. I set out to bring the colorful playfulness of the architect’s designs into this visual identity, while still ensuring that it was versatile enough to be applied in any and all of the materials I would go on to produce.
