Micro-mobility, reimagined.

Together with a team of brilliant designers and developers from Scout, I worked to develop a brand and website for Stō, an innovative foldable scooter aiming to revolutionize the last-mile commute.

Scout Team:
Eric Kim (Project Lead) | Jenny Chen (Design Lead) | Sam Gildea (Tech Lead) | Oliver Hu (Designer) | Gwen Friedman (Developer) | Jueun Kang (Developer)

The Process began by figuring out who we wanted our brand to be, the values and goals that Stō’s visual language should communicate. In a series of group brainstorming exercises, we worked with our clients to figure out just that.

After arriving at some concrete traits and features, we moved on to finding visual solutions, and defining the design of the brand.

We decided we wanted our logo to be a play on the name itself, and also to somehow suggest the “stowing-away.”

As for color and text, we made choices that corresponded with the brand identity we had previously arrived at: fun, simple, industrial, conversational, friendly.

With the brand identity finished, we began creating the website. And in the meantime, we also created photo and animation assets to go along with it.

Stō finally came together in a finished website. Featuring an incredible animation created by Anthony Fanticola and Gabby Aidam, it accomplishes everything we set out to do.
